The fish hatching apparatus, with the ponds and reservoirs, were examined with much interest by the viceregal party, and a splendid salmon trout of about 01b weight was caught the herd of Indian Samba dear on the hills afforded good sport, and a fine stag weighing nearly 5001b fell a victim to Sir William Robinson’s rifle.

The party intend returning to Ballarat by way of Mount Emu and Carngham.

When the war is over, Baden Powell, will, it is said, after a spell in England, visit Australia, and Ballarat particularly.
